Collapse of MakerDAO Keepers: $4.5M lost & how to become a Keeper to earn 13%+ liquidation penalties by providing liquidity to MakerDAO Keeper Pool.

TL;DR - join waitlist for MakerDAO Keeper Pool to earn yield on DAI/ETH/USDC/USDT/Chai/sUSD/cDAI from liquidation penalties and ETH/DAI arbitrage profits earned in collateral auctions by the Keeper Pool (zero fee pool, non-custodial of course:) - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfekQcjT5up5Uh2W_C2W0U5zJ5miLd5ott_87CW8-dDH75TZg/viewform
________
Unfortunately, many of us became victims of MakerDAO collateral auctions market. This market was brought to its knees today, resulting in:
1) Losses affecting some of the MakerDAO Vault holders (borrowers of DAI from the Multi-Collateral DAI system), and
2) Losses affecting 100% of MKR token holders, - minting enough MKR and selling them for DAI to cover the missing DAI in the system. The auctions will begin on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
For the last 14 hours I've been focusing on determining the root cause of the problem, and determining WHAT CAN I DO? to prevent this collapse from ever happening again.
Collapse of the MakerDAO Auctions.
Losses above is a result of a short-term monopoly in the auction market of collateral liquidation of MakerDAO vaults becoming under-collateralized with price of collateral (ETH, BAT) on the decline. This monopoly existed for ~3.5 hours this morning, allowing a single Keeper to buy close to $4.5M worth of ETH in exchange for ~0 DAI + gas fees.
The collapse negatively affected two classes of market participants:
1) Victim class #1: MCD Vault holders who were being liquidated between ~10am EST until ~1pm EST

https://www.reddit.com/MakerDAO/comments/fhupn8/total_liquidation_mkr_holders_should_take/
2) Victim class #2: MKR holders who will be diluted on Wednesday, March 18th as a result of Flop auction - minting new MKR tokens and selling them at an auction until the auction proceeds cover the missing DAI ($4.5M DAI at the time of this writing).
WHAT HAPPENED?
Prior to ~10am EST, there were a lot of Keepers bidding against each other for collateral at 13% liquidation penalty. Keepers are software bots which monitor Vaults and participate in auctions for collateral of borrowers who became under-collateralized. Operators of such bots are incentivized with mandatory 13% liquidation penalty imposed on Vault collateral upon liquidation.
https://docs.makerdao.com/auctions/the-auctions-of-the-maker-protocol
https://docs.makerdao.com/smart-contract-modules/collateral-module/flipper-detailed-documentation
However, after 10am EST, a single liquidation auction bot was able to bid at 0 DAI (or slightly above) PER EACH COLLATERAL ETH BEING AUCTIONED, AND WIN THE AUCTION. As a result, this Keeper was effectively steal $4M worth of ETH collateral because the auction was designed to raise at least 4M DAI in exchange for the ETH that was auctioned during liquidations, however all except one Keepers stopping their operations, there was only one bidder. Any price above 0 would be accepted. As a result, but the Vault holders who supposed to receive some ETH back, never got any ETH back > making the effective liquidation penalty to over 50% instead of 13%.
Why did the Keeper's market collapse? Why most Keepers stop operating?
Unfortunately, most Keepers stopped operating this morning due to the following reasons:
Root cause #1: Catastrophic liquidity crunch. Keepers simply ran out of DAI to bid in the collateral auctions due to
1.a I believe some Keepers were unable to continue Keeper operations due to inability to liquidate ETH fast enough for DAI.
1.b Some Keepers shut down due to squeeze (bought ETH for 170 DAI, and hours later can only sell for 130 DAI at a loss - which is way more than 13% liquidation penalty).
Root cause #2: Network congestion. This brought many Keepers to its knees. Even with liquidity, many were unable participating in auctions due to stuck transactions & high gas costs. In addition, issues like longer client sync times + some Ethereum clients (like Parity) sufferring from known problems of keeping transactions stuck in Mempool for a very, very long time, amplified this problem.
PROPOSED SOLUTION - MakerDAO Keeper Pool.
Why don't we pool our liquidity (non-custodial pool, Uniswap-style) and give Keepers some competition!?
To prevent more people from losing their funds, I decided to fund development of a MakerDAO Keeper Pool, which will allow anybody to become a Keeper and participate in liquidations of collateral (to earn 13% liquidation penalty).
Background: During today’s Community Call (5 hours and still ongoing at the time of this writing), multiple members of the Maker community stressed importance of increasing # of Keepers servicing the MCD system in order to prevent yet another collapse of the Keepers market as it happened today.
To improve maturity of the Keepers market, increase the collective liquidity used by Keeper’s, engineers at Protofire.io (developers of MakerDAO governance dashboard https://mkrgov.science, Solhint - Solidity Linter https://github.com/protofire/solhint, maintainers of Gnosis Conditional Exchange https://github.com/protofire/gnosis-conditional-exchange) and risk team + engineering team at Atomica.org (developers of Atomica.org/unwind/) launched emergency efforts to ship one or more of the following ASAP:
  1. Web-based MakerDAO Keeper. Perform liquidations of 3rd party collateral from your browser as a Keeper. Earn 13% liquidation penalty.
  2. Open Source Keeper Templates. Run your own Keeper Bot on AWS - 1-click Installer for a MakerDAO Keeper Bot (open source Amazon Machine Image).
  3. Non-custodial MakerDAO Keeper Pool. Earn yield on DAI/ETH/USDC/USDT/cDAI/Chai from a pool running multiple Keeper bots servicing MakerDAO ecosystem. Join/Exit/Add/Withdraw DAI/ETH/USDC/USDT/cDAI/Chai, and earn 100% of liquidation penalties earned by the Keeper (zero fee pool).
Ultimately, we aim to:
- Upgrade the MakerDAO Keeper Pool to be a Keeper of Last Resort. Think of a Keeper backed by on-chain, guaranteed liquidity AND configured to participate in auctions with bids of at least 0.85 of the current ETH-DAI market price, as reported by oracles. So long as the Keeper Pool is operating, no Keeper will be able to take advantage of the system and cause yet another collapse of the MakerDAO Collateral Auction markets.
- Ship 3rd party JavaScript / npm library + Android/iOS SDKs to embed Web-based Keeper or MakerDAO Keeper Pool join/exit/add/withdraw liquidity into your own dApp, protocol, product or service.
If anyone is interested in developing/observing/joining MakerDAO Keeper Pool (for example by running their own Keeper using hardened AWS AMI template, or by providing liquidity (DAI/ETH/USDC/USDT/cDAI/Chai) to a Keeper Pool) - feel free to join our working group working to ship a MakerDAO Keeper Pool ASAP - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfekQcjT5up5Uh2W_C2W0U5zJ5miLd5ott_87CW8-dDH75TZg/viewform

⚡ Lightning FAQs ⚡

If you can answer please PM me and include source if possible. Feel free to help keep these answers up to date and as brief but correct as possible
Is Lightning Bitcoin?
Yes. You pick a peer and after some setup, create a bitcoin transaction to fund the lightning channel; it’ll then take another transaction to close it and release your funds. You and your peer always hold a bitcoin transaction to get your funds whenever you want: just broadcast to the blockchain like normal. In other words, you and your peer create a shared account, and then use Lightning to securely negotiate who gets how much from that shared account, without waiting for the bitcoin blockchain.
Is the Lightning Network open source?
Yes, Lightning is open source. Anyone can review the code (in the same way as the bitcoin code)
Who owns and controls the Lightning Network?
Similar to the bitcoin network, no one will ever own or control the Lightning Network. The code is open source and free for anyone to download and review. Anyone can run a node and be part of the network.
I’ve heard that Lightning transactions are happening “off-chain”…Does that mean that my bitcoin will be removed from the blockchain?
No, your bitcoin will never leave the blockchain. Instead your bitcoin will be held in a multi-signature address as long as your channel stays open. When the channel is closed; the final transaction will be added to the blockchain. “Off-chain” is not a perfect term, but it is used due to the fact that the transfer of ownership is no longer reflected on the blockchain until the channel is closed.
Do I need a constant connection to run a lightning node?
Not necessarily,
Example: A and B have a channel. 1 BTC each. A sends B 0.5 BTC. B sends back 0.25 BTC. Balance should be A = 0.75, B = 1.25. If A gets disconnected, B can publish the first Tx where the balance was A = 0.5 and B = 1.5. If the node B does in fact attempt to cheat by publishing an old state (such as the A=0.5 and B=1.5 state), this cheat can then be detected on-chain and used to steal the cheaters funds, i.e., A can see the closing transaction, notice it's an old one and grab all funds in the channel (A=2, B=0). The time that A has in order to react to the cheating counterparty is given by the CheckLockTimeVerify (CLTV) in the cheating transaction, which is adjustable. So if A foresees that it'll be able to check in about once every 24 hours it'll require that the CLTV is at least that large, if it's once a week then that's fine too. You definitely do not need to be online and watching the chain 24/7, just make sure to check in once in a while before the CLTV expires. Alternatively you can outsource the watch duties, in order to keep the CLTV timeouts low. This can be achieved both with trusted third parties or untrusted ones (watchtowers). In the case of a unilateral close, e.g., you just go offline and never come back, the other endpoint will have to wait for that timeout to expire to get its funds back. So peers might not accept channels with extremely high CLTV timeouts. -- Source
What Are Lightning’s Advantages?
Tiny payments are possible: since fees are proportional to the payment amount, you can pay a fraction of a cent; accounting is even done in thousandths of a satoshi. Payments are settled instantly: the money is sent in the time it takes to cross the network to your destination and back, typically a fraction of a second.
Does Lightning require Segregated Witness?
Yes, but not in theory. You could make a poorer lightning network without it, which has higher risks when establishing channels (you might have to wait a month if things go wrong!), has limited channel lifetime, longer minimum payment expiry times on each hop, is less efficient and has less robust outsourcing. The entire spec as written today assumes segregated witness, as it solves all these problems.
Can I Send Funds From Lightning to a Normal Bitcoin Address?
No, for now. For the first version of the protocol, if you wanted to send a normal bitcoin transaction using your channel, you have to close it, send the funds, then reopen the channel (3 transactions). In future versions, you and your peer would agree to spend out of your lightning channel funds just like a normal bitcoin payment, allowing you to use your lightning wallet like a normal bitcoin wallet.
Can I Make Money Running a Lightning Node?
Not really. Anyone can set up a node, and so it’s a race to the bottom on fees. In practice, we may see the network use a nominal fee and not change very much, which only provides an incremental incentive to route on a node you’re going to use yourself, and not enough to run one merely for fees. Having clients use criteria other than fees (e.g. randomness, diversity) in route selection will also help this.
What is the release date for Lightning on Mainnet?
Lightning is already being tested on the Mainnet Twitter Link but as for a specific date, Jameson Lopp says it best
Would there be any KYC/AML issues with certain nodes?
Nope, because there is no custody ever involved. It's just like forwarding packets. -- Source
What is the delay time for the recipient of a transaction receiving confirmation?
Furthermore, the Lightning Network scales not with the transaction throughput of the underlying blockchain, but with modern data processing and latency limits - payments can be made nearly as quickly as packets can be sent. -- Source

How would the lightning network work between exchanges?
Each exchange will get to decide and need to implement the software into their system, but some ideas have been outlined here: Google Doc - Lightning Exchanges
Note that by virtue of the usual benefits of cost-less, instantaneous transactions, lightning will make arbitrage between exchanges much more efficient and thus lead to consistent pricing across exchange that adopt it. -- Source
How do lightning nodes find other lightning nodes?
Stack Exchange Answer
Does every user need to store the state of the complete Lightning Network?
According to Rusty's calculations we should be able to store 1 million nodes in about 100 MB, so that should work even for mobile phones. Beyond that we have some proposals ready to lighten the load on endpoints, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. -- Source
Would I need to download the complete state every time I open the App and make a payment?
No you'd remember the information from the last time you started the app and only sync the differences. This is not yet implemented, but it shouldn't be too hard to get a preliminary protocol working if that turns out to be a problem. -- Source
What needs to happen for the Lightning Network to be deployed and what can I do as a user to help?
Lightning is based on participants in the network running lightning node software that enables them to interact with other nodes. This does not require being a full bitcoin node, but you will have to run "lnd", "eclair", or one of the other node softwares listed above.
All lightning wallets have node software integrated into them, because that is necessary to create payment channels and conduct payments on the network, but you can also intentionally run lnd or similar for public benefit - e.g. you can hold open payment channels or channels with higher volume, than you need for your own transactions. You would be compensated in modest fees by those who transact across your node with multi-hop payments. -- Source
Is there anyway for someone who isn't a developer to meaningfully contribute?
Sure, you can help write up educational material. You can learn and read more about the tech at http://dev.lightning.community/resources. You can test the various desktop and mobile apps out there (Lightning Desktop, Zap, Eclair apps). -- Source
Do I need to be a miner to be a Lightning Network node?
No -- Source
Do I need to run a full Bitcoin node to run a lightning node?
lit doesn't depend on having your own full node -- it automatically connects to full nodes on the network. -- Source
LND uses a light client mode, so it doesn't require a full node. The name of the light client it uses is called neutrino
How does the lightning network stop "Cheating" (Someone broadcasting an old transaction)?
Upon opening a channel, the two endpoints first agree on a reserve value, below which the channel balance may not drop. This is to make sure that both endpoints always have some skin in the game as rustyreddit puts it :-)
For a cheat to become worth it, the opponent has to be absolutely sure that you cannot retaliate against him during the timeout. So he has to make sure you never ever get network connectivity during that time. Having someone else also watching for channel closures and notifying you, or releasing a canned retaliation, makes this even harder for the attacker. This is because if he misjudged you being truly offline you can retaliate by grabbing all of its funds. Spotty connections, DDoS, and similar will not provide the attacker the necessary guarantees to make cheating worthwhile. Any form of uncertainty about your online status acts as a deterrent to the other endpoint. -- Source
How many times would someone need to open and close their lightning channels?
You typically want to have more than one channel open at any given time for redundancy's sake. And we imagine open and close will probably be automated for the most part. In fact we already have a feature in LND called autopilot that can automatically open channels for a user.
Frequency will depend whether the funds are needed on-chain or more useful on LN. -- Source
Will the lightning network reduce BTC Liquidity due to "locking-up" funds in channels?
Stack Exchange Answer
Can the Lightning Network work on any other cryptocurrency? How?
Stack Exchange Answer
When setting up a Lightning Network Node are fees set for the entire node, or each channel when opened?
You don't really set up a "node" in the sense that anyone with more than one channel can automatically be a node and route payments. Fees on LN can be set by the node, and can change dynamically on the network. -- Source
Can Lightning routing fees be changed dynamically, without closing channels?
Yes but it has to be implemented in the Lightning software being used. -- Source
How can you make sure that there will be routes with large enough balances to handle transactions?
You won't have to do anything. With autopilot enabled, it'll automatically open and close channels based on the availability of the network. -- Source

Trading, psychology, and the benefits of Trading Bots.

Trading, psychology, and the benefits of Trading Bots.

Most beginners who open trading accounts on cryptocurrency exchanges and start independent trading, see only one goal — to earn as quickly as possible.
This is a big mistake. The fact is that trading on the stock exchange will only become truly profitable when it becomes a priority for the person who came to trading. As a rule, to combine trade with any other occupation and at the same time everywhere to succeed will not work.
Trading for a novice trader should be if not the main, then a very important and priority occupation. No need to wait for quick results.
Trading on the stock exchange — the same profession as a doctor, Builder or engineer. The only difference is that she can’t go to University. Just as one learns to be a Builder for five years, so it takes years to learn all the wisdom and secrets of the trade. Trading on the stock exchange is not a Stayer distance, it is a marathon. And the winner is the one who will find the courage to reach the end.
In addition, trade is very much changing a person, showing his qualities, which in everyday life he does not know. Over time, if a trader really wants to succeed in trading, he must completely rethink his life, change the system of values and look at many things, change himself.

Fear as a Component of Trading

The strongest emotion known to man is, of course, fear. What gives rise to the exchange’s fears? We can not predict the behavior of the market, and therefore fully control their money invested in its instruments. In addition to the unknown, when there is no understanding of how to safely get out of a predicament, we are afraid in advance of what traumatized us earlier. Because fear is so emotional, you need to surround yourself with the right facts to drive it away. We need to know for sure that our trading system should not generate more than three consecutive losing trades. Winners plan what to do if their trades fail.
So only a systematic approach will protect us from ourselves. That is why the investment rules written in the trading templates exist not only to communicate the best market opportunities but, more importantly, to protect us from our own internal “demons”.

Emotions in Trading

Seekers of strong emotions, adrenaline forget everything in pursuit of excitement. It follows that a novice investor, overtaken by the “adrenaline curse”, will trade at the slightest opportunity. Yet Dostoevsky, one of the most famous and avid players, said that for him the most acute feeling in life — to win money. The second most acute feeling is to lose them.
Paradoxically, few things give more pleasure than getting rid of the pain and torment of being in a losing trade. This creates a mental internal conflict. Awareness of losses brings “excitement” or a sense of exaltation, and our emotionality does not care what we pay for these experiences losses in the brokerage account. “Adrenaline curse” will drive us into the trade for thrills and extract them from there, regardless of the price.

Intuition on the Exchange

The mind of an intuitive investor tries to construct mental constructions of events. I will try to explain what mental construction is by the example of a chess player’s thinking. The grandmaster understands and remembers the position of each figure in terms of its mental constructions and relationships inherent in the arrangement of figures. The random arrangement of the figures does not fit into any of his mental constructs, and he cannot structure what he sees.
Market patterns on cryptocurrency charts compared to chess compositions include an excessive element of chaos so that they can be interpreted intuitively. Investors with intuition are able to achieve success with the help of” flair”, but this flair often leaves them. The intellect of the rational trader, on the contrary, is manifested in his ability to logically comprehend what is happening to him and to the reality around him and to make on this basis the simplest and most correct decision. Intuition is the ability of a person to penetrate into the essence of things not by reasoning or logical thinking, but by instantaneous, unconscious insight. This is the ability of a trader to “ see the market not with his mind but with his heart.” But, even with a highly developed intuition, you can not act on the market, using only it.This is the trap of intuitive trading — it is impossible to learn.

Fear of Taking Responsibility

What distinguishes successful traders from losers who lose money? First of all look at life. Most people are very passive.
If you ask people if they are happy with their lives, the answer is likely to be negative. On the question of who is to blame, I would say that the fault of the parents who have not given a good education, why now not get a good job; blame the employer who delays wages; blame the dollar, which is rising, then falling; to blame the President and the government who do not pay pensions, etc., In their troubles and problems most of the people blame anyone but themselves.
The same thing happens in the market because the exchange is a mirror of our life. Talk to the trader losing money, ask why he can’t make money in the market. He replied that the fault of the insiders, manipulators, blame the binary options broker too much Commission, to blame the neighbor who suggested the deal, which turned into a heavy loss. In other words, he himself would have been a millionaire long ago, but for a number of reasons, certainly beyond his control, until that happened.
If a person wants to achieve something-not just to lead a life, which are millions of ordinary people (every day to go to work, save five years for a car, twenty years for an apartment, etc.), and to live a full life, so that the financial issue went into the background, to work for fun, not for money, he needs to take responsibility for everything that happens in his life. A person needs to realize that the cause of everything that happens to him is himself. It is this view that allows you to succeed in life and in any business. And trade is no exception.
This is the way successful traders look at life. Once you realize that the cause of all your losses is yourself, and not some mythical manipulators, then the case will move forward.
*******************************************************************************************************
In the age of digital technologies, when artificial intelligence develops, computer technologies improve, mankind creates various tools to facilitate their own life and everyday life.
If we pay attention to trading, then this direction is actively developing, getting new and unique tools. Since any trader (beginner or experienced specialist) is subject to emotions and various psychological factors, there are tools such as trading bots.

Trading Bots/Robots

A trading robot (bot) is a program that has a certain algorithm. It buys or sells cryptocurrency assets, focusing on the situation in the market. The first trading robots appeared in 2012, and since then they have become more and more perfect. Currently, according to some estimates, 90% of short-term transactions are made either by bots or with their participation.
Bots are usually developed for specific trading platforms. Most cryptocurrency exchanges have an API, and they are generally positive about free auto trading within their platform.
In contrast to the positive attitude to exchange robots, exchanges often have a negative attitude to arbitration robots. On the rules of trade can be found in the official documentation of the exchange, and if there is no such information, the question can be asked directly to technical support. Some people wonder: is it possible to write your bot trader? This is not an easy option, which is suitable only for experienced programmers. After writing, bots are tested for a long time in the market, corrected numerous errors, corrected strategy.
A programmer can also write a bot based on someone else’s code. Some bots are open source, and anyone can find it on GitHub and modify it to fit their needs.
Buy a bot for trading cryptocurrency: there are inexpensive programs for trading (about $ 10), and the cost of more high-quality and complex exceeds more than $ 200 and even $ 1000. There is no maximum price limit for bots, top bots are written to order $ 1500 and more.
Users are usually offered a choice of several tariff plans for crypto bots, from economy to luxury. The inexpensive option includes the most basic trading algorithms, and the expensive one brings maximum profit and works on more complex algorithms. Arbitration bots are a more expensive exchange. Known cases when downloading the bot, people got on your computer virus-miner or virus-cipher, which encrypt all your personal files and demanded a ransom in bitcoin, usually in bitcoin. Naturally, after transferring the ransom to the specified wallet, no decryption of the files occurred.
Trading strategy of stock and arbitrage bots can be very simple, for example:- When the price of cryptocurrency decreases, you need to buy it.- If the price rises, it should be sold.- Or much more complicated. The algorithm can take into account historical data for the last time, indicators, navigate by signals. Quality bots analyze more than a hundred parameters when placing orders.
Some programs do not change the algorithm, and there are bots that can connect or configure additional parameters. This option is well suited for experienced traders who have their own preferences in the style of trading.
A standard bot can perform such actions:- To assess the market situation, to monitor the rate at a given period of time, to make a forecast. In manual trading, it can show signals to the trader.- Create buy or sell orders.- To report on the profit or loss received.
On the example of our IMBA-Exchange, we came to the conclusion that we also need to provide an opportunity for each trader to use bots so that they can be in a comfortable trading environment.
Our exchange specialists are developing their own bot for cryptocurrency trading, which will be an excellent and convenient addition to every trader who wants to eliminate the psychological factor and seeks to get stable earnings without losing personal time.
*******************************************************************************************************
IMBA-Exchange Metronix bot makes life easier for every investor.
For example, Ing. Michael Eder the CEO of IMBA-Exchange, who has 10 years of experience in trading and the last 3 years in cryptocurrency trading, has firmly decided for himself that in the current realities trading on the exchange simply needs bots:
Throughout the time that I have been trading, I can confidently say that today trading bots are necessary for all traders as the main tool. No matter how long you are in exchange trading, but the nature of the person is designed so that under the influence of psychological factors, market conditions, etc. You still make mistakes and, as a result, this leads to financial losses. Our Metronix Trading Bot will help to solve these problems and eliminate negative consequences. A bot is a tool; it has no feelings. He performs a specific task for a given program and performs it almost unmistakably. The task of the trader is to monitor the situation on the market and correctly, as well as at the right time to configure your bot.
Stay with us, in front of you will find many interesting and new.

Weekly Dev Update #17

THORChain Weekly Dev Update for Week 12–18 Nov 2019

![](https://miro.medium.com/max/2880/1*Fy-NCZAKhgbZmE-iEIQChQ.png)

Recent Changes

Some recent updates to the protocol:

Update to Emission

The first iteration of the block reward scheme was announced in the previous weekly update. An immediate concern raised from the community was that the emission was too aggressive in the initial year and rewards dropped off fast beyond the 5 year mark. Taking Bitcoin’s emission as an example, the emission curve has been updated to target 2% emission after 10 years.
![](https://miro.medium.com/max/2384/1*gqBLvJOl2G4n3IHW1rViKg.png)
The Block Reward equation is given by the following recurrence equation: g(n+2) = ((R - (g(n+1) + g(n))) / x) / y Which evaluates to: ![](https://miro.medium.com/max/1624/1*ttpsRd7HUs2-7hvDGO6elg.png) where: R = Reserve, x = 6 (Arbitrary Emission Factor) y = (seconds per day / seconds per block) / days per year y = (86400 / 5) * 365.2425 The final curve thus has a Day 0 emission of 25%, Year 1 emission of 20% and Year 10 emission of 2%.

ChaosNet

The original plan for BEPSwap (prior to the Yggdrasil liquidity breakthrough) was to have it as a separate mainnet before launching the real THORChain in 2020 with cross-chain support. Now THORChain has in-built cross-chain support and a clear roadmap to 99 nodes. This means the mainnet launch will have public, community-run nodes at the start. The community has been fielding many questions about how to run a node, and the mechanics in doing so. Since the THORChain team will not be running any nodes, it is necessary to have a full-rehearsal with the community at launch. As such, the plan is for a public ChaosNet on 03 January 2020. ChaosNet will have the following key differences: * Minimum bond of 100k RUNE. * Maximum of 12 Nodes. * Churn cycle of 1 day. * Maximum stake amount of 600k RUNE total. * 2.7m RUNE Protocol Reserve to emit Bond and Stake rewards. * Hard-coded Ragnorök at 6 weeks.
Any member who wishes to join ChaosNet to get accustomed to running a node can do so, and will receive Block Rewards roughly equivalent to mainnet (25%). They will be setting up nodes, churning in, servicing the network and earning rewards. The system will hold up to 600k Rune, at which point it will refund any additional staked amount. The community can stake small amounts of real assets, prepare arbitrage bots, set up telegram alert bots and more. In short, it is a public rehearsal with the entire community across all facets (nodes, stakers, traders) so that everyone will have access to the same information and not unfairly benefit when the real mainnet launches. Additionally, the system will be hard-coded to perform a Ragnorök 6 weeks later, which will refund all the remaining reserve as well as bonded and staked assets. This will go a long way in re-assuring the community that the system can tolerate all levels of risk, including black-swan events, and that funds are safe at all times.

Internal Arbitrage

A new feature will be launched that will allow users to use internal arbitrage. This is an asymmetrical withdrawal to Rune, then immediately followed by a asymmetrical stake of Rune in another pool. A trader may want to do this instead of doing transactional arbitrage in order to exploit price differences between two pools the fastest way possible. Instead of an outgoing transaction being processed, followed by another incoming transaction, Rune balances and stakeUnits are swapped internally, being completed inside of a few seconds.

Fee-based Transaction Prioritisation

Currently there is no prioritisation to the order of transactions, all transactions are simply processed in order of time received. In moments of high demand of network resources (such as when there are large arbitrage opportunities and users are racing to exploit them), transactions will queue in the mempool. If the system cannot respond fast enough, then the reason for high demand will persist (the large arbitrage opportunity). The solution is to remove the reason for high demand in the first place, which is the large arbitrage opportunity, at the same time as collecting the maximum revenue for the system. As such, in the checkTx method (which can triage the mempool), transactions will be sorted and ordered in the value of the fee of the swap transaction. Assuming rational actors, the following transactions will then be prioritised over all others: * A transaction from an impatient swapper who is willing to pay a large fee. * A transaction from a trader who is able to arbitrage out a price discrepancy (and still make a gain).
This then means the system can collect as much income as possible (good for the stakers) at the same time as prioritising transactions that can arbitrage out large price discrepancies quickly. This then means swaps from transient swappers will experience a market price that accurately matches the reference price at all times.

BEPSwap Development

The team are working on 4 parallel streams of effort. Cross-chain infrastructure has now been merged into a single repo called “THORNode”. * THORChain * Midgard Public API * Threshold Signature Scheme implementation * Front-end Integration for BEPSwap

THORChain

Bug fixes, refactoring, as well as more logic around Yggdrasil funding. Additionally, node churn and the first part of block rewards PR was merged. * Add admin config event, fix tx out events https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/255 * Resolve “Select a satellite pool to swap out” https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/253 * Include the thorcli volume for the signer. https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/261 * Rune Reserves, block rewards, bond units, oh my! https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/258 * Add mechanism to slash a node account bond or rewards https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/264 * Add add event https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/262 * Issue198 node churn https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/270 * Issue199 — fix signer doesn’t process multiple txout item https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/271 * issue194: only rune get refund for invalid memo https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/272 * Outbound — mark txout item out hash based on the coin as well https://gitlab.com/thorchain/bepswap/thornode/merge_requests/273

Midgard Public API

Database ported from influxdb to timescaledb (more maturity, better developer tooling). Endpoints built out include/pools and /stakers. * Feature/new endpoint format, refactors and general clean ups
The OpenApi Schema can be reviewed here:
https://testnet-api.bepswap.net/v1/doc

Threshold Signature Scheme

TSS was successfully implemented into the Genesis ceremony, with the focus now being on the key-gen and key-sign ceremonies. Multi-cast DNS was switched out for a distributed hash table to facilitate node discovery. * Issue4 — docker images and ci https://gitlab.com/thorchain/tss/multi-party-ecdsa-dockemerge_requests/5 * Fix a docker bug https://gitlab.com/thorchain/tss/multi-party-ecdsa-dockemerge_requests/6
A proof-of-concept is being prepared using BinanceChain TSS library, which was recently launched in order to make a decision whether to switch libraries. A go-based implementation is better for THORNode, since it is also written in Go.

Why 300$ difference in value in QuadrigaCX?

Developing a bitcoin arbitrage bot (just for fun) I've realized there are huge differences in BTC/USD values between QuadrigaCX and every other exchange (300$ at this moment). I've even put some BTC in QuadrigaCX and some USD on Bitstamp to test my bot.
Is there any known issue with QuadrigaCX that explains those high ask/bid values?
I wouldn't want to find out there are some kind of limitation when trying to withdraw my profit from QuadrigaCX.
BTW, my bot is in github in case someone is interested.

There were some serious issues at Amazon Web Services on Friday
🔵There were some serious issues at Amazon Web Services on Friday, impacting many crypto exchanges, especially in Asia. Binance, KuCoin and Bitmex all experienced API errors and abnormal price volatility. For instance, some people apparently bought Bitcoin for less than $1. But how would you know of such an opportunity? The best is to have an intraexchange arbitrage bot running, ready to catch such price windows. And at OneExBit, we already have such a bot! Even better, it's completely free.

Technical vs fundamental analysis: the basics

Technical vs fundamental analysis: the basics
🔵Technical vs fundamental analysis: the basics
With this post, we're starting a series of articles about the technical aspects of the OneExBit terminal. It includes numerous charts and indicators that can help you maximize your profits – if you know how to read them. We will explain what different indicators mean and how to use them to predict prices.
If you are only starting out in trading, you've probably heard that there are two types of analysis: technical and fundamental. What's the difference between them? Should you use one or both as a trader?
🔵Understanding fundamental analysis
Fundamental analysis aims to determine the real value of a coin, regardless of its current price. It's suitable for long-term investors who are prepared to hodl their crypto for years in order to gain thousands of percent in profit in the end.
When doing fundamental analysis of a token or altcoin, you should try to think of all the factors that can influence its price in the future:
- Internal factors: the quality of the project's team (are there any famous crypto personalities on the list?), availability of a working product, activity on GitHub, size of the community, latest news and releases, trading volume, etc.
- External factors: regulations in the project's jurisdiction, actions of the authorities towards crypto projects, possible legal risks, size of the target market, competition, current situation in the crypto market…
It can happen that your fundamental analysis will show that a coin is seriously undervalued and is likely to grow. A classic case is Bitcoin itself: when it was released, it was traded just for a few cents, but all the potential for growth was there. Those shrewd people who recognized it and bought BTC early on are now millionaires.
Of course, you can also find that a popular coin is overvalued and it's better to short it. (For instance, if you discover that the authorities in the project's country of registration are preparing a ban on all crypto).
🔵Technical analysis and the mysterious world of indicators
Technical analysts don't claim that internal and external factors aren't important. Rather, they believe that all those conditions are already built into the price. There's no need to study the recent laws or a project's GitHub page. All you need are past prices and volumes as displayed on a graph. By connecting dots into lines, seeing where they cross other lines, identifying figures and patterns – that's how you predict the price movement. Luckily, OneExBit gives you all the data and charts – you just need to learn to read them.
There are dozens of different calculations that you can perform on prices – and each will give you a different indicator. Every trader has their own favorites, though there are some universally popular ones, such as moving averages, MACD, and Relative Strength Index. We'll discuss them in our upcoming posts.
Technical analysis is very powerful, and traders who master it earn much more than those who just read news and listen to rumors. It doesn't require any strong math skills, but you do need to learn indicators – which you can do by reading our blog!
Ultimately both kinds of analysis have the same objective: predict future prices in order to earn a profit. We believe that technical analysis is easier to learn and use – especially when you have a powerful tool like the OneExBit terminal! Very soon, we'll start posting a series of videos explaining how to view and use different indicators in the terminal, so make sure to follow our updates. And of course, you shouldn't miss the upcoming arbitrage bot!

🔵Understanding the basics of intra-exchange arbitrage

🔵Understanding the basics of intra-exchange arbitrage
🔵Understanding the basics of intra-exchange arbitrage
The work on the OneExBit arbitrage bot is almost finished, and naturally we are getting lots of questions from the community. In particular, many users ask if our bot will search for arbitrage opportunities across different exchanges (inter-exchange) or within one exchange (intra-exchange). In this post, we'll try to give a detailed answer.
The first edition of our bot will search for intra-exchange windows – support for interexchange arbitrage will be added later on. At first, you'll be able to use the bot with Bitfinex and Binance; in the next few months, it will become possible to search for opportunities on all the exchanges integrated into the OneExBit terminal, such as Poloniex, HitBTC, BitMex, and so forth.
🔵Why traditional arbitrage can be risky
Most users who are familiar with arbitrage trading don't even realize that there are two types of arbitrage. The one we are most used to is inter-exchange – that is, searching for price differences for the same asset across different exchanges. However, this type of arbitrage has a serious problem: once you find a good window and purchase an asset on exchange A at a lower price, you have to withdraw it, send it to exchange B and then sell it there, potentially withdrawing the proceeds after that. This creates two risks:
a) withdrawing asset A, you can incur significant fees, which will eat up part of your profit from the arbitrage deal;
b) sending the asset from one exchange to another will take time – sometimes minutes (which is a lot of time in crypto trading). While you wait for the asset to be deposited in your account, the arbitrage window can close. It can happen because other arbitrage traders will notice the window and rush in; or because the exchange itself will eliminate it.
These risks can be mitigated by looking for price differences within the same exchange – it is called intra-exchange, or triangular arbitrage.
🔵What is intra-exchange arbitrage, anyway?
This type of arbitrage is called triangular because you need to perform trades with three different assets. The key fact to understand is that relative prices for several assets on the same exchange are not exactly proportionate to each other – there are often large spreads. For example, imagine that at a certain exchange 1 Bitcoin is traded for $9500 and at the same time for 1 BTC you can get 43 ETH. So what would be the price of ETH in US dollars? Someone who has studied math at school (but not trading) would think that it's enough to divide by 9500 by 43 – you'd get $221 for one ETH. However, that's now how crypto trading works. Since the market is inefficient, relative price changes don't spread instantly, especially when volatility is high. So, it's quite possible that the ETH/USD price is $230, for example. How can you profit from this difference?
Step 1. Buy 1 BTC for $9500.
Step 2. Exchange your 1 BTC for 43 ETH.
Step 3. Sell your ETH for USD and get 43*230=9890
You started with $9500 and ended up with $9890 – not bad! Of course, this is an idealized example; in reality there are also the fees to consider. If the fee is 0.2%, for instance, you'd pay circa $40 in fees for the two trades. Still, you'd get a net profit of $350.
The art of intra-exchange arbitrage is finding price windows with spreads large enough to cover all the fees and still leave you with a good profit. That's exactly what the OneExBit bot will do. Triangular arbitrage is a great tool in times of volatility, because resulting spreads are larger.
Follow our updates and don't miss the launch of the bot!
Best regards,

In the past few days, Bitcoin really took a hit, falling below $9500.
🔵In the past few days, Bitcoin really took a hit, falling below $9500. This shows once again that hypervolatility is a reality in the crypto market. Those who guessed right and shorted their BTC made a profit, while others lost a lot of money. By contrast, if you start arbitrage trading, you'll protect yourself against such price drops! Our upcoming arbitrage bot will help you find instant profit opportunities on any of the integrated exchanges. You'll be able to earn a stable income whatever the volatility!

Blocknet 2018: What to look forward to!

With 2017 coming to an end, we wanted to provide the community with some updates regarding what is on the horizon for Blocknet in 2018, but first let’s take a look at what this community has accomplished so far.
2017 was a busy year for Blocknet! With the launch of the new production chain, the Service nodes launch on mainnet, the partnership with VSA to build the Blocknet UI (as well as the UI Reveal) and the implementation of the Community Governance System, it has been a very productive year. This is what was achieved…
Blocknet in review 2017:
BitBay (BAY), Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Blocknet (BLOCK), Dash (DASH), Decred (DCR), Digibyte (DGB), Dogecoin (DOGE), Dynamic (DYN), GameCredits (GAME), Faircoin (FAIR), HShare (HSR), LBRY Credits (LBC), Litecoin (LTC), Monacoin (MONA), MonetaryUnit (MUE), Namecoin (NMC), NavCoin (NAV), Particl (PART), Peercoin (PPC), PIVX (PIVX), Potcoin (POT), Qtum (QTUM), Sequence (SEQ), Stratis (STRAT), Syscoin (SYS), Vericoin (VRC), Verge (XVG), Vertcoin (VTC), ViaCoin (VIA).
Recent Developments
In addition to the above, there are some other recent developments we would like to mention:
What is on the Horizon for Blocknet in 2018?
Moving forward into 2018 there are many exciting developments to look forward to:
Note 1: Upcoming milestones are subject to change, and some require new ground be broken in crypto, and thus are to be interpreted as intents, not commitments. Development is in an agile manner and so is not to deadlines; Rather, continual progress is to be expected.
Note 2: All names are Rocketchat community handles.
A very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year to the community! 2018 will be fantastic!

After 2 weeks of attempts, finally got the last of my BTC out of CampBX - here's how. Scripts & cold/hot wallet info inside.

Hey everyone, Sam here from BitMEX.
Years back, I started running arbitrage bots between many major exchanges. Back in the 2013 runup, they were quite profitable; now, I'm lucky if they make a few trades a week.
CampBX has often had profitable trade opportunities, but moving money and in and out has become more and more difficult in the past years.
Many of you have mentioned the infamous Cold Wallet Maintenance error that is preventing withdrawals:
https://www.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/2xdsen/is_campbx_insolvent/ https://www.reddit.com/BitcoinMarkets/comments/2xc3aw/any_news_on_bitcoin_transfers_out_of_campbx/
There are many more threads on Bitcointalk and elsewhere.
I had significant funds on CampBX from my arbitrage operation that I've been moving to a few addresses over the course of the last few weeks. Below is what I've learned from the process and how you can get your money out too.

The Problem

When CampBX hot wallets are empty, withdrawals throw the error "Cold wallet maintenance in progress. Please reattempt after 5 hours.". This error is not truthful; it is simply thrown any time their withdrawal process cannot locate a hot wallet with the requisite funds.
CampBX funds appear to be stored in this cold address: 1BgyAFiYRx7Zi77WJbdxmeohLWSM6fDMZ6. Occasionally, CampBX employees move funds into one of several hot wallets. The most commonly reused address is 1GLTa4dVQzM4SfwXRsr5LCtYwR2ttKmxAV.
Unfortunately, funds are moved into hot wallets as single large inputs. When a withdrawal comes in, the input is spent entirely and the remainder sent to a new address.
CampBX appears to consider the funds available after a single confirmation, but it is obvious where a flaw in the system lies; if there are only 2 or 3 hot wallets, while the funds are tied up waiting for confirmation, they are unusable. This means that during any particular 20-30 minute period, only as many withdrawals as hot wallets can be executed, no matter their size.
The problem is compounded by empty or nearly empty hot wallets. For long stretches of time (days or weeks), only a single hot wallet may have the funds necessary to process withdrawals of 1 BTC or more, leaving all other users with the Cold Wallet Maintenance error.
Further compounding the problem is a programming bug regarding daily withdrawal limits. According to their site, the unverified user withdrawal limit is US$1000. There appears to be some rough calculation on the backend translating BTC to USD to enforce this limit. However, when you receive a Cold Wallet Maintenance error, the requested amount is deducted from your limit anyway, regardless of success!
Since there is no way to know if you will receive an error before the attempt, this means it can take many weeks just to withdraw small amounts of BTC.

Withdrawal Strategy

CampBX has a basic API that allows withdrawals. Unfortunately, you may have to request API access. It appears that CampBX's help desk is once again functioning, so you should be able to request access. While you're at it, ask them to refill their hots and let them know how you feel about it.
Once you have API access, use this very simple Python script to automate withdrawal attempts. If you can't get API access, you can do the following by hand but it is more painful.
This is the strategy I successfully used:
  1. Make withdrawal attempts for the minimum amount possible (0.01 BTC). Wait until a transaction is accepted. Once it has been accepted, stop the script and look at the transaction on blockchain.info.
You can try an amount larger than 0.01 BTC if you like - this has a larger chance of catching a large hot wallet (many wallets only contain 0.01 to 0.02 BTC) - but will run your limit out much sooner as the Cold Wallet Maintenance error will deduct from your limit.
  2. Does the sending address have a significant amount of Bitcoin left in it? If so, you've struck gold - stop the script, wait for one confirmation, and make as large of a withdrawal as the system will let you. Thankfully, the daily limit error does not incorrectly deduct from your limit.
  3. Repeat as many times as you can, until you hit your limit. Once you do, you're done for 24 hours - the limit is strict.

CampBX Helpdesk

You may have some luck opening a ticket, now that the CampBX helpdesk is working again. They refuse to increase limits for unverified users, and will not acknowledge the limit bug. However, talking with them may get them to throw some extra money into the hots.
I explained the situation to them today in a ticket similar to the information above, explaining that the error has been occuring for weeks. They will not acknowledge that there is an issue. I only received the following message:
Dear Samuel, Cold wallet maintenance is over now. Please reattempt your BTC withdrawal. Let us know if you have any question regarding this process. Thank you, CampBX Support
Good luck recovering your money.

Coinholic is a Global Payment Option for The Digital Asset Market. Coinholic is designed with the digital asset sector at heart. The digital economy is a fast growing one, and we are offering users the opportunity to benefit from this sector with the help of our online platform.
The Coinholic marketplace allows owners of digital assets to sell their products to consumers and get paid in a globally acceptable cryptocurrency which serves as the only medium of payment on the platform. Users will have access to exclusive digital assets.
The whole process is triggered by our smart contract that executes actions when certain conditions are met.
Sellers will have to list and upload their products with detailed description, and place a price tag on them. These products will be held and listed in the public file manager where every buyer can see them and view the product descriptions.
However, the download links will not be available to buyers until the buyers pay the exact amount of the product (in COH) to the seller’s wallet generated. When the payment is confirmed on the blockchain, the product automatically becomes available for download to the buyer who made the deposit. Confirmation on the blockchain is speedy.
The four categories of digital assets that Coinholic operates includes Digital Courses, Cryptocurrencies, Software, and Designs/Arts
DIGITAL COURSES
ELearning is an untapped fast growing industry which is one of the reasons why LinkedIn acquired the popular Lynda.com for $1.5 Billion in 2015. With technology, people can now enjoy easy access to informational materials in digital formats such as videos, podcasts, and ebooks.
Teachers and other owners of these assets can take advantage of the opportunity that our platform offers to showcase their digital courses to the world when they sign up on our marketplace and get their products listed. Users of the platform will also enjoy access to these exclusive digital courses. We seek to contribute to the eLearning revolution and make it easy for everyone to have access to quality informational materials irrespective of location or language.
CRYPTOCURRENCIES
One of the problems of the cryptocurrency community is converting digital currencies to fiat. This option is not yet available in some countries. Cryptocurrency has not been widely accepted as a medium of payment. There is still need for Bitcoin and altcoins to be converted to fiat to enhance commerce possible in some locations.
Coinholic allows users convert Bitcoins and altcoins for local fiat currency. The service will be available to over 50 countries. To use the service, users will need to register on our partner exchanges, purchase Coinholic with Bitcoin or any altcoin, and send the fund to their web wallet on the Coinholic platform. All users are allowed to create Coinholic web wallets on the platform upon registration.
Finally, users are required to submit requests to convert the COH in their wallet to fiat. The conversion will be carried out by the Coinholic system, and the funds are withdrawable to the local bank accounts of our users after conversion.
SOFTWARES
Around September 2017, the Software industry crossed $1 Trillion. The industry is a lucrative one as a result of the fact that software is high in demand.
Software’s proffer solution to a whole lot of real-life problems and plays a huge role in the running of our day to day businesses.
In recent times, there have been a lot of talented software developers who have found lots of useful software’s but couldn’t earn a living off their hard work since they lack the knowledge of digital marketing.
If those software’s are placed on the market, they will be beneficial to the public. Thus, our digital asset marketplace will enable such developers to make money from their products while making the society a better place with the aid of their quality innovations.
DESIGNS & ARTS
Users of our marketplace will enjoy access to high-quality designs and exclusive illustrations that can be used for personal and commercial projects. We are making our platform available to talented graphic designers and giving them to the opportunity to earn from the products that will be listed on the marketplace.
Such products could include PSD and Vector versions of logos, banners, artworks, etc. Users can modify and utilize these designs for commercial purposes.
COINHOLIC FEATURES
Security
We guarantee your safety when using the Coinholic marketplace. Security is a crucial area of our product that requires special attention. Therefore, we have a competent security team that always runs updates on our system to ensure that our platform users are safe from hackers and any other form of attack that we could meet in the future.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
The Coinholic platform uses 2FA to ensure users security while logging in, making withdrawals, and editing some sections on the profile related to payments.
Email Confirmation
In the event that 2FA isn’t enabled, users will have to go through email confirmation process for protection against unauthorized activities on accounts.
Whitelist IPs
Most platforms do not use this option, but we decided to adopt this method to ensure the safety of our users. Whitelisting IPs is a security measure that allows users set IPs that will be granted access to their accounts. All sign in and withdrawal attempts from IPs different from the selected IPs will be blocked until after verification from users.
Smart Contract
Our blockchain’s smart contract triggers the process of trading digital assets on the Coinholic platform. Apart from cryptocurrency to fiat conversion, trading in every other category is fully decentralized.
Sellers will have to upload their products and place a price tag on them. These products will be held in the public file manager where every buyer can see them and view the product descriptions. However, the download links will not be available to buyers until a certain amount of COH is received and confirmed in the seller’s wallet from a buyer. When that happens, the product automatically becomes available for download to the buyer who made the deposit.
Portfolio Management
Since our platform allows the trading of different forms of digital assets, managing all these assets could be a hassle for our users. Thus, we have the portfolio management feature that enables users to manage all the assets that have been purchased in the Coinholic marketplace.
Products Review & Rating
Buyers who have purchased specific products in the marketplace (e.g., digital courses and software) are allowed to rate the quality of the product bought. Rating products help us separate bad or low-quality products from the good ones.
The reviews on a product give buyers the sense of choice of whether to purchase a particular product or not.
Mass Adoption
We are confident our system will be adopted massively. A lot of product owners have been looking for an opportunity like this to get their products showcased globally.
The cost of selling digital products is unaffordable by most product owners coupled with the fact that a lot of such category of people lack digital marketing techniques.
We believe that in few years to come, the Coinholic marketplace will be adopted tremendously, being the first online marketplace where digital assets will be traded with cryptocurrency as the only payment option.
We also have a simple adoption strategy of entering the market as a free platform for everyone and work to register as many free accounts as possible while attracting sellers to handle their trading activities through the system. We will ensure users spend time learning the platform and how it works via series of video training.
As the member base grows, Coinholic will attract more digital asset sellers while buyers will flock to the platform to make purchases.
Rapid Increase in Price
The basis of demand and supply is what controls the growth of cryptocurrencies. The higher the demand for a coin, the higher the value increases.
Our team strives to create a massive demand for our crypto by making Coinholic crypto the only acceptable payment option on the marketplace. Users of the platform will have to obtain Coinholic crypto from the exchanges before they can make purchases on the market.
If a user wants to exchange any other coin for fiat using our platform, such user will have to convert the coin in question to Coinholic before he or she can sell on our platform. We rolled out the system to enable us to create a massive demand for our coin.
With the above strategies coupled with the fact that we have a total supply of only 15 million coins, we are positive that Coinholic will record a rapid increase in price when we hit the exchanges.
SELF-MANAGED ARBITRAGE TRADING PROGRAM
We seek to fetch enough returns for our early investors which is why we have adopted our initial arbitrage trading system as part of a means to reward our investors. During the period of our crypto trading service, we generated massive profit for our clients on monthly basis.
We are giving our early investors the chance to benefit from the program. This time, we will not be doing the trading. The whole process will be self-managed by users. You trade at your own pace and choose what amount you wish to trade with. We do not control your activities, we only provide trading signals and guidance.
Coinholic team comprises of expert crypto traders who have made so much income through arbitrage. In cryptocurrency, arbitrage is a system of buying and selling digital currencies in different markets or in derivative forms in order to take advantage of the difference in prices for the same asset.
We do not use a trading bot or anything of that form, all trading activities will be carried out manually by investors. All you have to do is use the information we provide on your dashboard to complete your trades. Our signals are 90% correct.
However, the program will only last for one year. This is to enable us to focus more on our core project and develop the Coinholic ecosystem. We cannot give a figure showing the amount of ROI you should expect, what we do guarantee is that investors will record a reasonable amount of profit if our instruction is adhered to.
The program will be launched by June 2018 and end by July 2019. In other words, only investors who participate in our token sale are allowed to benefit from the self-managed trading program. Once the platform is launched, investors who wish to participate in the program can sign into the platform using the same login information generated during ICO. You don’t have to do a new registration.
Although we state that our signals are 90% correct, we hope you understand that there are uncertainties in crypto trading. Sometimes, we may not always get the result we expect.
We are not making any profits from the self-managed program, we only rolled out this platform to reward our early investors and make them feel excited about their investments. Please note that we will not be held liable for any trade done without the guidance of the information we provide on users’ dashboard.
COINHOLIC ICO
The Coinholic project will be sponsored via a token sale that will run from March 7 to April 14
ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is a system that allows Coinholic to raise funds needed to execute our planned activities. The Coinholic platform is undergoing development; however, we need funds to sponsor the advancement of the core functions of our platform, and also help in marketing our project.
We need to get Coinholic to the crypto community in order to make our project a successful one.
Investors who choose to support our project will make a considerable profit in no distant time. We are offering investors the chance to acquire Coinholic tokens at low costs ranging from $0.3 to $0.9. The value of Coinholic will be a lot higher than that when we finally hit the public exchanges. We also intend on having well structure bonuses and incentives for early investors through our bounty programs. These investors will be rewarded with bonuses and will be offered incredible deals for being the first set of people that invest in Coinholic. Such deal includes the launching of our self-managed trading program.
We are doing this so that investors will see benefits in being the first to adopt this technology. By doing this, we are confident of having a successful launch in which we can create revenue to develop our project further and to grow our system to the next phase of Coinholic.
Token distribution
There will be a total of 15 million coins in the Coinholic network, but only 9 million tokens will be available for sale during ICO. The illustration below shows how Coinholic token will be distributed
The purpose of the Coinholic token allocation is to ensure the long-term sustainability of our marketplace and crypto coin. 60% of the total supply will be giving out to early investors through our token sale.
30% of the token will be left in reserve. Part of this reserve will be released to exchanges and intensify trade in our marketplace while the balance will remain in reserve to aid the stability of the value of Coinholic. Unsold tokens after ICO will be moved to the reserve.
Tokens allocated to founders and developers will be held for some time before they can be sold. Here is a picture of the lock period:
1 year 100% 2 years 75% 3 years 50% 4 years 25% 5 years 0% With these policies, we are sure of maintaining the integrity and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the platform.
COINHOLIC AIRDROP
10 COH tokens will be awarded to 10,000 participants each. To participate in the Coinholic airdrop and get the free 10 COH tokens, please click HERE
